Back in 2005 Mike was part of what experts were calling the new wave of agents turning to real estate after successful corporate careers. Having directed a national sales and marketing staff with multi-million dollar budgets. Mike is highly qualified and experienced. Now years later he has an established himself as one of the " go to " brokers in the Charleston Tri-County region.

Mike has over twenty five years of success and includes extraordinary achievements with several turnaround and startup resort/hotel conference properties. His most recent accomplishment 1993-2002 in the hospitality industry was assisting in the opening and management of the then bankrupt property Seabrook Island Resort, located just south of Charleston next to Kiawah Island.
Mike began his burgeoning career as a National Accounts Manager for Scottsdale Conference Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. During his twelve year tenure with the company he held several positions including Director of Sales, and finally National Sales Director. He spearheaded sales and marketing initiatives and was responsible for closing contracts that generated over $25 million in annual sales mainly from the large pharmaceutical companies, like J&J, Merck, Eli Lilly, Schering Plough, Parke-Davis, Pfizer, and Warner Chilcott.
In more recent years he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for Seabrook Island Conference Resort. Where he managed the sales & marketing efforts for the resort. Mike was responsible for over twenty fellow employee's covering each market segment. Seabrook's main stream of revenue was from corporate meetings and conferences all year round. Golf packages were also an excellent revenue generator along with Leisure travel or family beach packages. The Club offered it's unique facilities to many non-member weddings and local golf events that also went into the total revenue numbers each year. During his time with Seabrook the property was awarded several prestigious designations including the Gold Key Award, and the Pinnacle award. After a mangement run of almost ten years Seabrook and the entire country suffered after 9/11. Seabrook's members then decided in late 2002 to change the island's image and offer only a private club facility. It was a great ten years and many of my clients still wish Seabrook was in the resort business.
Several pharmaceutical and biotec clients kept in touch and asked me for guidance with their district, regional, and national meetings that I started a new company and decided to stay and live/work in Charleston. This service has no fees attached. I select a resort or hotel in the clients pre-selected city and negotiate the contract room rates etc...
Mike started his real estate venture in early 2005 and worked as a Sales Manager for Palmetto Realty Group based on Daniel Island! In March of 2007 Prudential Carolina Real Estate's new Land Development Division asked Mike to join their new group!
Mike is very proud of his family. Married in 1993 at Seabrook Island Mike's wife Jennifer is from Muncie, Indiana. Son Riley - 11 years old and Ellie Malone 7 years old - Fenway our German Short-Haired Pointer. Mike enjoys spending time with the family on Daniel Island, Seabrook, and the many beaches and golf courses Charleston has to offer. Mike helps coach his son's baseball team and enjoys many outdoor sports activities - Biking - Road & MTB, running, swimming, golf, tennis, hiking, skiing, ice-hockey, and fishing/boating.
